The tractor drawn hay baler is mounted on a two wheeled frame on top of which a cylindrical drum is mounted. Vertical above the wheel axis is a pivot point on the drum periphery, enabling the drum to be opened in a jaw like manner to discharge a completed bale at the rear of the main frame. A hay entry chute is mounted in front of the wheel axle allowing hay to be drawn into the drum where an endless roller chain drive unit either side of the drum periphery rotates the hay in a continuous manner forming solid rolls for discharge. A hydraulic operated linkage arrangement actuates the jaw type pivotal movement of the two drum halves.
