On the saw blade holder in a frame-saw, the shaft has one end braced with a blade-clamping retainer on the frame, while the other end has an attachment for positive locking of the blade connection, with a lug for swivelling on the shaft, and an adjusting pocket in a row of evenly spaced lugs. These lugs (39, 40), connecting the pocket (16) to the saw blade (11) are arranged asymmetrically to a vertical pocket axis, about which the pocket can be turned through 180 deg. for setting upside-down on the saw blade. The lugs may pass through perforations in the saw blade, with room for play.
