The inlet vortex regulator is used in high speed rotating pumps. This regulator ensures stepless and low loss change of delivery head and flow rate. The adjustable regulator (2) has a space without blades at its centre. The central hub slides into this space leaving narrow gap between blade tips and the hub. This ensures that flow takes place only through blades and inlet vortices are suppressed. The arrangement ensures wide adjustment range.
