PURPOSE:To efficiently edit a source text by forming a working file in an internal storage device to edit the file. CONSTITUTION:A memory segment 18 to be a working file is included in the internal storage device 19 for temporarily storing a source text read out from a source program library 14. The title device is also provided with a memory file control part 7 to be a file control means for controlling the writing and reading of source data in/from the segment 18 and a memory file access routine 11 stored in a routine part 12. The source text read out from the library 14 is written in the working file formed in the storage device 19 and data are transmitted/received between the working file and a source text buffer 13 formed in the same storage device 19 to execute the editing processing of the source text. Thus, efficient source text edition can be executed.
