<p>PURPOSE:To heighten the torque in the range of medium and high speed, by supplying a signal from the feed air pressure to a gas flow control plate to keep the feed air pressure constant. CONSTITUTION:The signal is supplied from the feed air pressure to a cylinder 13 to gradually move the gas flow control plate 3 through a link 12, a lever 11 and a control shaft 4. Thereby, the cross-sectional area of passage of a restricting part is decreased to heighten the flow speed of gas. Consequently, the energy for driving a turbine wheel 2 is heightened, and the gas turbine is run as shown by the diagram C. When the rotational frequency of engine reaches a certain level, the plate 3 goes into position of closing. Thereafter, the feed air pressure falls as shown by the full line of the graph. A higher amount of air is supplied to the engine than in conventional turbosupercharging. The torque is heightened in the range of medium and high speed as the smoke level is kept low.</p> |
