Poles pieces for an electrical rotor for a low power alternator are produced by cutting out members 2'' in the form of double toothed racks with opposing teeth and a slot 9 from a strip of iron. The slot is deformed so as to make it into a polygonal bore and the member cut out takes the form of a star. The teeth are bent over and a pole piece is attached to each end of a core with their teeth inter-engaging. In another embodiment single toothed racks are formed which are bent in their own plane and the opposing rack ends are welded to produce a star. <IMAGE> |
