Title compds. [I; R = H or org. group, Ra=H or acyl, B=S<or O <, z=III(Y=residue group or residue group deriv. of the nucleophilic reagent) useful as antibiotic, were prepd. Thus, compd (II; R1=H or carboxyl protecting group, Y'=substitutable residue group of the nucleophilic reagent) was treated with nucleophilic reagent to give I'. In the I' compd. group(IV) was converted to the group in illustration I, carboxyl protecting group was eliminated, B=O< was reduced to B=S<, and Y group was converted such as conversion of Y from azide to 3-amino methyl to give I and its deriv.
