A nutrient medium for pathogenic microorganisms which cause bacterial infections of the urinary tract was prepd. It consisted of definitive chem. compds., and such conventional nutrient medium components as peptones, meat exts. and yeast exts. replaced by suitable amts. of amino acids. The medium has easy reproducibility and is useful for testing the efficacy of chemotherapeutics against such microorganisms with greater accuracy.
