NON-RETURN VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR MANURE PUMP APPARATUS

A non-return valve assembly for man??e pump apparatus which includes a housing having a flat top wall and a curved bottom wall, a gate valve inside the housing which also has a flat top and curved bottom portion to confirm with the interior of the housing and which is attached to a shaft journaled in the housing for pivoting action between an open and closed position. The structure enables mounting the gate valve such that it can effectively withstand the stresses of manure back pressure, and the shape of the housing minimizes accumulation of manure.
