摘要 1398752 Respiration monitoring apparatus KOMBINAT MEDIZIN-UND-LABORTECHNIK VEB 24 May 1972 24483/72 Headings A5K and A5T Respiratory monitoring apparatus comprises warning devices 18, 19, Figure 1, connected to an assembly of logic elements so that the devices are responsive to the outputs of resspective pressure sensors 2, 3 and so that one device emits a constant signal and the other device emits an intermittent signal, sensor 2 emitting a signal to a logic element 6 wherever and for as long as the patient's respiratory tract pressure is below a predetermined minimum value, and sensor 3 emitting a signal to a logic element 15 wherever, and for as long as, the respiratory tract pressure is above a predetermined maximum value. The logic elements comprise AND elements 7, 13, 15, 22, OR elements 8, 16, trigger circuits 6, 23, a pulse former module 9, a gate 10, a timer 11, and threshold value switches 12, 14, there also being an auxiliary air input 5, an input 4 for an inspiratory signal from a respirator, and a control 1 which enables elements 6 and 13. Trigger 23 is responsive to indicate by means of optical signal generator 24 whether or not inherent respiration by the patient is present. If the respiratory tract pressure is below the minimum value, optical signal generator 18 and acoustic signal generator 17 produce intermittent signals at the respiration rate, generator 17 and an optical signal generator 19 giving a continuous signal if the respiratory tract pressure is above the maximum value. If the respiration rate is below a preset minimum, generators 17, 18 are operated by elements 9 to 12. Generators 17, 18 can also operate to give a continuous signal if the switch 14 senses that the auxiliary air pressure at input 5 is below a predetermined level. P/E (pressure input, electrical output) transducers 20, 21 allow remote indication. The apparatus of Figure 1 may be used with that of Figure 2 which comprises a respirator 25 connected to a patient 33, electronic AND gate 31 and bistable store 29, pneumatic OR gate 26 and control 27, P/E transducers 28, 30, 32 and E/P (electrical input/pressure output) transducer 35. Tranducer 32 senses attempts by the patient at unassisted respiration and acts via store 29 to indicate such attempts optically at 34, transducer 32 also acting via elements 28, 26 to switch the control unit 27 and act on respirator 25 to start an inspiration phase to follow the unassisted attempt. Control 27 disables AND gate 31 during APN respiration.
