<p>Prepn. of moulding materials from polypropylene film lacquered with 8-20 wt. % vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, by incorporation of (a) 2-13 wt. % PVC plasticiser contg. at least one functional gp. and at least one long-chain aliphatic gp., (b) 1-4 wt. % PVC stabiliser, and opt. (c) fillers, anti-oxidants, lubricants, pigments and dyes, by a dry process. The mixt. is processed in usual extruders or mixers at 160-220 degrees C. Mfr. of crates, various components, hollow articles, pipe, sheets, etc. by injection-or blow-moulding, pressing, extruding, etc. Use is made of scrap PP film, without degradation of the lacquer component of processing temps. Products have good mechanical props., e.g. tensile and impact strength.</p> |
