PURPOSE:To obtain a molded article having improved adhesivity of pattern cloth to resin, by moding a piece of pattern cloth made of polyester filament yarns and staple fibers with a plastic placed between the cloth and mold. CONSTITUTION:Blended yarns are made from polyester staple fibers as a main constituent and cotton staple fibers having improved adhesion to unsaturated polyester resins and a larger moisture absorption than the polyester fibers. A plain fibric is prepared by using the blended yarns as warps and polyester filament yarns having the same thickness as wefts, patterned and sewn in a bag according to the inner shape of the bathtub. The pattern cloth 3 thus obtained is placed on the heated male mold 1, and SMC materials of FRP for bathtub formation are placed on the cloth 3 along the mold 1, then the female mold 2 is placed on the SMC materials. The molds are closed and pressed. After a given time, the molds are opened to remove the disired molded article. |
