PURPOSE:To extend the frequency region of elastic waves, by placing the zigzag type conductive constituent and the bias magnetic field applying means on the non-crystal magnetostriction elastic thin plane. CONSTITUTION:The zigzag type conductive constituent is placed on the non-crystal magnetostriction thin plate 1, and the solenoid coil 3 is placed as the bias magnetic field applying means toward lengthwise of the thin plate 1. The zigzag type coil 2 is closely placed on the surface of the thin plate 1 or placed closely with other support, and the distance p and the width w are changed along lengthwise. To the non-crystal magnetostriction elastic thin plate 1, the signal magnetic field due to the zigzag type coil 2 lengthwise and the bias magnetic field due to the solenoid coil 3 are fed, and the elastic distortion is excited in proportional to the constant of magnetostriction. The bias magnetic field improves the converting efficiency of transducer and controls the speed of propagation of elastic distortion. |
