The electrophotographic copying machine, contains a moving infinite photo conducting element. The element is electrostatically charged and exposed to light to develop the latent image and then transferred to a sheet. There is a synchronising system with shift register and detector for the conveyance of the copy sheets. There is also a second counter, whose input is connected to the output of a pulse generator. This counter is started at the instant that the photoconductive medium is exposed. It controls the feed of the copy sheets.
