<p>Device for punching out containers with flanged or beaded edge, deep-drawn from thermoplastics sheet, comprises a lower punching tool with a space adapted to receive the container, which has a circumferential protruding rim reaching into the annular space under the flange, and an upper punching tool protruding beyond the upper punch. The space in the lower punch is bigger than the container so that the latter sits in it with some play. the outer annular surface of the rim serves as centering surface for that edge of the flanged edge pointing downward. A press pad is arranged inside the upper punch for firmly positioning the flanged edge. The tool allows containers with (almost) parallel sidewalls to be accurately centered so that they cannot be damaged in the tool, nor are dimensional inaccuracies or deformations during the punching step possible.</p> |
