The lorry loading and unloading device has a conveyor arranged below a group of pallet loads and can be connected directly to a conveyor line. A pair of chain conveyors (7) with a carriage (6) from the carriage including the minimum length of the loading surface (1) has less height (h) than the small under-travel height (11) of the corresponding pallet (2). It also has a difference stroke (b) amounting to roughly zero with respect to the device (12/14) which lifts the chassis. The lifting device (12/14) consists of a number of levers, driven by spindle motor (14), distributed over the length of the conveyor (7).
