<p>A roll, specially one made of plastics, for use in the treatment of paper or textile webs, is cooled on its surface by keeping it in contact with a colder material which sublimates at atmospheric pressure and at the roll temp. This is a most effective dry system of roll cooling which dissipates and heat at the point where it is generated.</p> |
