Addn. of. 0.01-1.0 wt. % of a corrosion inhibitor from the group consisting of e.g., a 9:1 to 1:9 by wt. mixt. of Na metavanadate and K antimoyl tartarate of Sn(II) tartarate (2% by wt. of I), dimethyl tin oxide, Na m-nitrobenzoate, or benzotriazole, to, e.g., aq. monoethanolamine(I) solns, was effective in minimizing corrosion of steel, as deseribed in several examples.
