Electrical street lights connection unit - has plastics half-housings fitted with dovetailed protrusions at ends for retaining contact terminals, bridges and bus=bars

The unit for electrical connection of e.g. street lighting lamps, comprises two similar half-housings made of plastic and accommodating the current conducting parts such as busbars, contact terminals, bridges etc, the unit being fixed in the lighting post. The unit enables the fuse protected branch live to be joined to any selected phase irrespective in which sequence the phase-wires are taken to the phase terminals of the connector unit. The upper face of the housing has at least one longitudinal slit beneath which run the current busbars of the discrete phases, transversely to these slits and through the housing. Sliders running through slots are provided in the vicinity of the slits, in pairs, one above the other, so that only one of the current busbars is accessible at any chosen position of the slider(s) for insertion of a screw-in phase (ex)change screw.
