Apparatus for moulding thin- walled objects such as receptacles in expanded plastics material, comprises two mould parts i.e. male and female each having a metal surface layer of plastics material (8) which contacts the moulded article. Induction circuits (7) in the two mould parts induce eddy-currents in and thereby heat the surface layers to melt the plastics material of the moulding. Refrigerating fluid may be circulated through the induction circuits which are made tubular for this purpose. <IMAGE> |
