The round vertical noise damper is for core-sand slinger machines, having a cylindrical antechamber with baffle plate and an inlet union for the air in the end. A damping chamber is connected directly to the antechamber via a perforated plate, and is completely filled with woven wire forming a dhamping element, while a further perforated plate at the other end connects it to atmosphere. The volume of the antechamber is at least as great as that of the damping chamber, while its wall thickness(s) is >=3 mm.
