The solenoid valve has a coil body inside a housing forming the valve body. A core sealed in the body has a valve seat at one end, against which a first valve at the end of the armature works. The housing fits on a base with compressed-air unions. A recess in the base connected to the unions incorporates a valve seat, against which a second valve on the other end of the armature works, this second valve being spring-loaded shut. There is a sealing ring between base and body. The coil body has a cylindrical spigot at one end, whose inner face guides the armature, and which fits in the recess in the base. The spigot extends past the sealing ring, which is accommodated in a counter-bore in the recess.
