Motorcycle front fork with dampers - has bridging stiffener between telescopic tubes holding wheel spindle to equalise deflection

The motor cycle steering fork has two telescopic fork members with springs and dampers. The latter are held within stand tubes holding the front axle. The telescopic members are stabilised and strengthened to reduce telescopic tube wear. Between the axle holding telescopic stand tubes (18, 19) there is arranged at their upper ends above the front wheel (10) a stiffening bridging rod (22), fastened by detachable holder (20, 21). The latter consists of two split half shells which are mirror image parts on the tubular members.
