The automatic safety line allows domestic animals, especially dogs, to move in all directions on a given surface. A spindle roller (1) is connected with torsion spring (4) and a pin (13) to allow the line (2), on demand, to roll off to a length previously limited by the pin (13). It is rolled up again by the rotary spring (4). The housing and cover (8, 9) are rotatably supported above the spindle roller (13) and allow a motion about the mid point of the fixed base casing (5).
