PURPOSE:A polyolefin resin containing a functional compound and a sensitizer is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to produce crosslinked polyolefin foam with uniform and separated foams and high heat-insulating property and heat resistance. CONSTITUTION:A polyolefin resin containing (A) at least one functional compound selected from the group consisting of compounds having allyl group, having methacrylate group, quinonedioxims, vinyl acetate, divinylbenzene and maleic anhydride, and (B) at least one sensitizer selected from the group consisting of benzophenones, ketones, salicilate esters is irradiated with ultraviolet rays of 1000-5000Angstrom wave length to form crosslinked polyolefin foams. EFFECT:Heat resistance that is required for insulating material for thermally insulated and colored steel sheets can be obtained in a shorter time. |
