The intermediate plate couples a frame to an instrument e.g. a camera. A clamping plate is screwed to the frame and a plate is joined to the instrument, fitting in a flat seat in the clamping plate and gripped by a clamping device attached to the latter. To hold the instrument plate (3), the clamping plate (2) has two tapering pressure faces (7, 29) fitting against mating faces (10, 11) on the instrument plate, on the seat (4). One of these tapering faces is fixed (7) and forms a seat end face, while the other is part of a movable and lockable clamping member (14), which exerts a force at right angles to the two tapering faces. |
