Lock mountable on either side of door - has sprung latch rotatable through 180 degrees into desired position and of same width as night bolt

The lock is designed to allow mounting on the door leaf in any position. To make the latch work in either direction of closing, it can be pulled out against the force of the spring inside the casing, turned by 180 deg. allowed to snap back into the casing. The night bolt is positioned from the bottom edge of the casing by the same distance as the top edge of the bolt from the upper edge of the casing. The width of the night bolt and the latch are identical, and the penetration on the shield plate fitted to the door frame is shaped to accept either latch or night bolt.
