A powdery coating compsn. is obtained by reacting the acid reaction product of polycarboxylic acid(s) and polyepoxide(s) with an epoxide resin having a mol. wt. >500 and an epoxy value 0.3 and grinding the resulting products to a powder. The reaction product of polycarboxylic acid and polyepoxides pref. has an acid value >150, and a mol.wt. =500 and an epoxy value >=0.3. Cyclohexane-1,2-dicarboxylic acid anhydride is the preferred polycarboxylic acid. The coating compn. may be mixed with other ingredients e.g. alkyds, pigments. |
