The container for drill and taps have a body designed to provide locating sockets. The cover of the body has openings in which the shank ends of the tools may be positioned for ease of access. The container is pref. formed of two interlocking parts the cover being designed with elongated channels to receive the tool tips. The sockets in the base may be formed with bosses projecting from the base outer surface. The container may be formed of plastics.
