<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurence of electric leak due to a rise in temp. accompanying gas release by covering the surface of a bulb member in the vicinity of a cathode with a different metal by radiation of laser beam. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a bulb member in the vicinity of a cathode raising the temp. inside the member is covered with a different metal such as Ni, Cr, W, Fe or Co by radiation of leaser beam. At this time, powder, foil pellets, etc. of the above metal are mounted on the surface and irradiated with laser beam. The radiation of laser beam may be carried out while dropping powder of the above metal onto the surface. Thus, the metal with little gas release is simply covered at a low cost.</p> |
