PURPOSE:To increase the throughput of the system as well as to remedy the instantaneous error by giving the retrial within the channel control unit for the error to which the retrial can be given not be giving the wrong completion immediately just through an error occurrence. CONSTITUTION:The retrial of the information transfer is given to the errors taking place between channel device 6 and control unit 3, between memory 1 and unit 3 and within unit 3 respectively. For instance, when unit 6 stores the information in memroy 1, the necessary information is put on interface 5. In this case, the parity error is detected for these information. With detection of the error, unit 3 does not start operation but produces the signal newly and internally to receive each information, and then the retrial is given. In case no error is derected through the retrial, unit 6 is made to proceed to the next step; while if the error is detected through the retrial, the error signal is sent to unit 6. |
