<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of warpage of head and uneven printing and obtain distinct printing by providing a ceramic substrate arrayed with heating elements and a substrate for mounting this and thermal strain correcting plates and subsequently increasing or decreasing the coefficients of thermal expansion of the respective plates. CONSTITUTION:Heating elements 2 are arrayed straightly through vapor deposition and etching on the surface of a ceramic substrate 1. A mounting substrate 3 whose surface (a) has been worked with good straightness is affixed with said substrate 1 by being corrected to the surface (a) of the mounting plate 3 in order to correct the warpage of the substrate 1 and provide mechanical strenht. Thermal strain correcting plates 4 are affixed in parallel with the substrate 1 on the surface (a) of the mounting plate 3, avoiding the substrate 1 affixed position. These are so constituted that when the coefficient of thermal expansion of the mounting plate 3 is larger with respect to that of the ceramic substrate 1 the coefficient of thermal expansion of the thermal strain correcting plates 4 becomes larger than that of the mounting plate 3, and are affixed on the same face as the substrate 1 affixed face. Thereby, the warpage of the thermal head may be prevented and the occurrence of uneven printing eliminated.</p> |
