PURPOSE:To minimize necessary correction grinding of a dressing wheel thereby reducing a time for correction grinding and making it possible to legthen the life thereof. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus wherein after truing a grinding wheel 5 by a truning wheel 5, between a dressing wheel 20 and the grinding wheel 5 are fed separated grinding grains to dress the grinding wheel, the dressing wheel 20 rotatably mounted on a supporting table 17 is driven at a lower rotating velocity by a fluid pressure motor, and the supporting table is forwarded with respect to the grinding wheel to cause the dressing wheel to engage to the grinding wheel. Thus the correction grinding is terminated by detecting through a pressure detector 23 an increase of fluid pressure due to grinding resistance. |
