A package for semi-conductor devices has leads 24, 26 sealed into a cup 52 by glass 64 fused from a dried slurry that was applied to the package when the leads were in position. The glass is subsequently ground to expose faces of the leads and, after the electronic components have been fitted, a metal closure is welded to the top surface of ring 42. |
