PURPOSE:To provide a NOx purification catalyst consisting of barium sulfate and water insol vanadyl sulfate, which has higher denitration activity at low temps. and higher SOx resistance compared to conventional sulfate catalyst, and can be regenerated easily by washing when dust is sticked. CONSTITUTION:The NOx purification catalyst consists of 1-35, esp. 5-30wt% of water insol. vanadyl sulfate and 99-65, esp. 95-70wt% of barium sulfate. In order to prepare the catalyst, for example, water insol. green vanadyl sulfate obtd. by boiling V2O2 and conc. sulfuric acid is mixed with barium sulfate in the presence of water, dried, and calcined at 200-450, esp. 250-400 deg.C in the presence of O2-contg. gas for 1-24, esp. 3-16 hr. The resulting NOx purification catalyst assumes a bluish green color. |
