The X-ray tomographic equipment has the radiation generator (1) enclosed alongside the organ (2) being treated inside an annular ionisation chamber n3). This has a cylindrical anode (6) at a high tension, inside which is a ring of cathode (8). These enclose a ring (11) between themselves and the generator (1) and organ (2). The whole is enclosed by an outer ring (12). These cathode (8) are connected to input points (17) around a rotary selector arm (16) connected to a scanner these input points forming charge measuring points. The ionisation chamber can be filled with Xenon gas at a pressure of above 50 atmospheres, e.g. between 70 and 90 ats.
