The junction connector is for overhead cables or for telephone wires. The junction is demountable and does not damage the lines to be connected which may be parallel or at right angles to each other. The connector has two pairs of jaws (11) of a preferably elastic material. Half of each jaw pair is interconnected by a semi-circular section rod (12), both jaw rods forming a completely circular cross - section held by two circlips (18). To secure the cables an outer split cylindrical sleeve (13) is compressed around the rods pulling the jaws together.
