The oil burner is used for warm air space heaters, hot water boilers and similar units. The fuel is waste oil from internal combustion engines. This is fed from a tank (26) and filtered (28) into a preheating unit (32). The warm oil then passes (40) into the burner jet (42) where combustion is initiated by spark electrodes (52, 54). Compressed air (60) is provided around the jet, forming a spray and a flame into the firing chamber (106). This has double walls (102,104) with air or water circulated between (122,124). A flame detector is fitted and safety devices to prevent entry of oil if conditions are not correct. |
