The electric motor comprises a casing, a magnetic circuit and an armature rotating in the casing. The casing is made of two identical half shells (6a, 6b) joined in a plane passing through the diameter. The magnetic circuit comprises two ferromagnetic elements (40, 41) in the form of two half rings. The elements match exactly the outside surfaces of the two half shells and are held by mountings (43, 44). The elements (40, 41) are joined in a plane at right angles to that in which the half shells join. Each half shell has flat surfaces (12, 23) joined by connectors (9) and holding permanent magnets (22).
