<p>The balcony rail has a top (1) and a bottom (2) horizontal rail with tubular vertical bar (3) infill. Certain bars (3) receive a bolted insert (4). The insert (4) connects the rail (1, 2) and the bars (3) and forms a fixing post. Installation safety is provided by a basal fixing with a pedestal (10) which is initially pinned to a base plate (11). The fence is then pivoted to the vertical for sec. lock-pinning and vertical adjustment. A 'U' section top-rail (1) has 'H' slots (12) locating the tongued (33) heads of the bars (3). The fixing insert (4) has a head tenon (41) with a projecting bolt (5) and a transversely enlarged foot with side grooves (44). The foot slides into the pedestal (10) and a nut (6) to the bolt (5) secures the assembly. The pedesta (10) pins in a fork (111) in the prefixed base plate (10) and pivots to the vertical for locking by a pin (12) through an adjusting screw (17).</p> |
