The missile, has two or more parts sliding in relation to each other in the flight direction, and which in a first position give the missile an aerodynamically favourable shape. During a predetermined time period after firing, a restraining force acts on the missile, being exerted by gas present or generated in it. This causes the two parts (1, 2) in conjunction with the aerodynamic resistance forces acting on them, to assume the first and favourable position. The absence of this retaining force causes them to assume a second position less aerodynamically favourable.
