<p>The infinitely variable V-belt drive has two pulleys, one of fixed and one of variable dia. (1) mounted on the drive shaft (3) of an electric motor (10). The motor is pivotal about an axis (2) parallel to the motor axis. Pivoting of the motor is effected by a cam (21) acting on the motor through a lever and link mechanism (13, 12). As the motor is pivoted the centre distance of the pulleys and thus the gear ratio, is varied.</p> |
