The structural element (1) comprises a load bearing internal unit and sheath-like walling pieces, forming a pre-stressed element esp. for bridges, buildings' ceilings or similar horizontal load bearing structures, in combination with stress media. There are medias for absorption of pressure forces, transferring these to another direction for counter pressure effect, with the original pressure effect partially or wholly offset. This may involve shear-type spreaders, corrugated sheet metal plates, ribbed plates, trapezoid plates or other units.
