The detachable joint is for use between the ends of strips, and particularly for those of a metal conveyor belt. One end (1) has eyes (3) , in which hooks (4) on the other end (2) engage the hooks being formed by portions cut out along the strip edge. The ends can run obliquely, and the eyes can be elongated holes running parallel to the edges (7). The hooks can be formed by removal or rhombus-shaped portions (6) between edge and eyes, by stamping, and the hook tips (8) can be shortened in the direction opposite to that in which they engage.
