One-step mixing and activation of plaster mortar components - by comminuting with vibration or pinned disk mills

An activated plaster mortar is produced contg. >=1 active and one inactive component. At the same time as the main mixing step the components undergo a commination by means of an impact effect on the particles. The particles receive 3-8 blos or impulses within 10-2-10-3 secs. This mechanochemical change in the fine structure increases the reactivity of the components enabling high strength and elasticity to be obtd. rapidly during the setting process. PRef. the activation step takes place in the mixing appts. by means of a pinned disc mill ("disintegrator") or a vibration mill. Premixed plaster mortar is obtd. with improved properties which it keeps until the use of the mortar, e.g., better adhesion to the wall surface. Using this technique it is possible to add metal powder to the mortar with a uniform distribution.
