The driving shaft (3) is seated in bearing housing (2) and fitted with bushing (4) fastened by nut (5). The sealing (6) is designed as a double-acting sliding ring seal and is kept in place by flanges (7, 8) bolted to housing (2). Underneath the bearing housing is part (9) forming one half of the disconnectable assembly of drum and shaft. The other half of the disconnectable assembly is part (10) carrying the stirrer shaft (11) fastened to the part by set bolts (12) and nuts (13). Centering of the stirer shaft is carried out by the assembly (14) by means of O-ring seals. The driving shaft is hollow and contains pipe (15) for the cooling water supply, while the annular space (16) serves for cooling water outlet.
