The switch is suitable for headlamp dipping in vehicles. It is free from contact chatter and shows a reduced voltage drop. A slide is moved against the bending force of a switching spring carrying contacts, resulting in a snap-action movement of the spring. One end of the contact carrying spring (11) rests in a notch (12) in the case, while its other end rests in the channel (13) of a supporting spring (14). The opposite contacts are in the form of springs (7) bent into a V-shape at their contact ends (6). Part (8) of the rear limb of these springs rests on a side (9) of a recess (8) in the slide (8).
