<p>The process ejects powdery, flaky or granulated particles e.g. plastics, dye, sand etc from a supporting surface, the particles being agitated upwards in an electrical field and through an electrode. The supporting surface (1) is of insulating material, and at it an alternating-current field is used as the electrical field. Direct-current can be superimposed on it, and the electrode can be in wire or grid form, clear of the surface, while there is a further electrode on the underside of the surface away from the particles. An alternating voltage is applied between the two electrodes (3, 2).</p> |
