1,127,320. Spray carburetters; induction systems. ZENITH CARBURETTER CO. Ltd. Dec. 7, 1966 [Dec. 15, 1965; May 12, 1966], Nos. 53251/65 and 21174/66. Heading F1B. Mixture from a constant suction carburetter flows through a primary conduct 24 and a secondary conduct 22, throttle valves 26, 21, in which open in succession. The primary conduct 24 contains a heater 25. The trottle valve 21 is operated from the spindle 28 of the valve 26 through a lost motion device (32) Fig. 5 (not shown) whereby valve 21 begins to open when valve 26 is nearly wide open. Valve 26 may be situated in the pipe 22 upstream or downstream of the connections of pipe 24 thereto. In a six cylinder engine Fig. 7 separate carburetters 45, 47, feed two manifolds 42, 43, each connected to three cylinders, joint branch pipes 51, 55, 56 forming the primary circuits inter-connecting the manifolds. |
