The mounting for a radial ball bearing in a wall (4) comprises a bore (8) in the wall into which the outer race of the bearing is received over a part of its axial length. A housing (2) is secured to the wall and receives the remainder of the axial length. The bearing is held axially bya round section wire (13) inserted partly in a hafl-round groove (10) in the race and partly in a quarter-round groove (11) in the housing at its junction with the wall.
